Why it's a costume: I haven't written (or even read) in this fandom before.

SARAH tried on six lighting schemes and rearranged her digital wall displays twice before she was satisfied with her appearance. She spritzed her environmental filtration unit with the finest citrus aerosol available and checked her supply of mechanical lubricant. Finally, she was ready to send the message.

Deputy Andy cocked his head as he received a call directly to his CPU. Sheriff Carter's location was not concurrent with his residence at this time, so this call could only have one purpose. Andy smiled broadly; SARAH must have decided that her ports needed cleaning. He was delighted to be of service.
