Title: Alive

Spoilers: Set during Miracle Day 3x02 "Rendition" and contains spoilers for that episode.
Jack had been poisoned before. It sucked. But like plagues and gassing, it was just something to endure. Twisted maybe, but it was easier, knowing the sooner he died the sooner he'd feel better.
This time was different. Earlier when Jack had realized what Miracle Day might mean for him, okay, maybe he'd courted the thrill of mortality, felt more alive than he had in a century. But now it had him in its teeth: this pain wouldn't be redeeming his next death.
And the most mortal thing he could do was fight like a fucking animal to Stay Alive.
