Tosh shuddered as a plump, greyish bird fluttered over her desk on its way to Jack's office; a small feather drifted onto her keyboard.
"Ianto?"
Ianto glanced over.
"Tell me again why we keep a dirty, common pigeon?"
Ianto shrugged. "Everyone else likes her. And— passenger pigeon. Big difference. They've been extinct for a century."
Tosh sighed. "I know. But that's not really why, is it?"
"Well," he leaned toward her conspiratorially, "Jack swears she pecks at his typos. Accurately."
"He still won't use spellcheck?"
"He's old-fashioned. You know he wants to train Matilda as a backup communication system?"
